Zhao Meng and Shen Shou Building
Zhao Meng and Shen Shou Building was built in1919, eight years of the Republic of China. With
traditional pattern andwestern style, it highlights Chinese and Western style. The building has
collectedthe Avalokitesvara images drawn and embroidered by Zhao Mengfu and his son andShen Shou
sisters. Therefore, it is called Zhao Meng and Shen Shou Building.
Zhao Meng and Shen Shou Building collected more than 150 Avalokitesvara images drawn by famous
artists over the past dynasties. During the Anti-Japanese War and the War of Liberation, a few
Avalokitesvara images drawn by famous artists over the past dynasties were missing. After the
foundation of New China, most of the paintings were found and collected in Nantong Museum.
